Major Tom wins in Fairfield

Major Tom by Andrew Ryback

Major Tom came into our stable last December as a 7 year old. The young gelding (Vagabond De La Pomme x Heartbreaker) was already making waves in the young horses classes under the guidance of Irish rider Micheal Duffy. Friends of ours spotted him showing in Portugal and urged Rodrigo to come and try him. At the time it was very difficult to enter Europe as an American resident so we decided to trust the endorsement of his rider and the scouts we had on the ground in order to not miss the opportunity. Needless to say, Tom and Rodrigo were fast friends.

This spring Tom jumped his first 1.45 class at Old Salem with ease. The Grand Prix in Fairfield was his first and he showed us all what we have been missing. He is as spirited as he is talented and we are very lucky to be able to work with him. His schedule for the remainder of the year will be a few classes Michigan and hopefully the young horse classes at CHIO Aachen. Looking forward to many more classes like Saturday!
